Mechatronics is used by aerospace engineers to design aircraft systems like flight controls, navigation, and landing gear. Automation and Control Systems Mechatronics has numerous applications in numerous areas including auto-mation and control systems. This multidisciplinary field requires expertise in me-chanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, etc. The primary aim of self-acting systems is to perform tasks without any human intervention while control systems manage the performance of machines and processes. With the advent of mechatronics, there has been significant pro-gress in developing advanced automation and control systems for different in-dustries such as manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare using robotics, sensors, and sensory devices like transducers or activators or programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Mechatronics has become an integral part of product styling with its appli-cation across aerospace engineering to telecom. Sensor Technology Incorporating sensor technology into mechatronics systems is essential for enabling precise control and automation by providing feedback and col-lecting data. Mechatronic design often involves using temperature detectors, pressure sensors, and proximity sensors to enhance a wide array of mecha -nical systems. Sensor technology also plays a critical role in safety features such as colli-sion avoidance and lane departure warnings in the automotive manufacturing in-dustry.
